Supporting the charity from its inception, Bindmans LLP, in particular John Halford (Partner and Head of Public Law & Human Rights) and Liz Barrett (Partner and Head of Immigration Law), continue to provide comprehensive pro bono legal support. Bindmans also employs Carla, the charity's Volunteer Coordinator.
Wesley Gryk LLP is a specialist immigration and asylum firm. The firm has provided valuable legal support to Here for Good, including authoring the Advice Guide and delivering advice to the charity's clients.
Fragomen and Here for Good have a pro bono partnership which has been crucial to the expansion of the charity's advisory service. Lawyers from Fragomen take on urgent cases for the charity pro bono and have helped us to grow the service to ensure that we can help all those who need it.
Mala Savjani is a solicitor at Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP. She assists with the full range of applications made under the Immigration Rules. Mala also has a broad range of experience in making applications under European Law and under the new Settled Status Scheme. In her spare time, Mala is a weekly volunteer advisor at the Waterloo Legal Advice Service where she assists a variety of clients from the local area. Mala has recently become an advisor with Here For Good and assists clients on a pro bono basis as and when she has capacity.
Zahira is a Solicitor at Fragomen LLP, advising on all aspects of UK immigration law including the Points Based system, naturalisation and applications under the EU Settlement Scheme.
Zahira has a particular interest in advising European nationals on Brexit and how this is likely to impact their rights. She has set up and coordinated partnerships with various charities to provide pro bono assistance to European nationals who would otherwise be unable to access legal advice. This includes individual casework with Here For Good as well as delivering pro bono presentations on Brexit and the EU Settlement Scheme for various European communities with New Europeans.

Isaac is a Caseworker in the Immigration Team at Wilson Solicitors LLP. He assists with matters spanning the full range of immigration and nationality issues. In addition to acting as a volunteer adviser for Here for Good, most recently during the London is Open bus tour. Isaac has also assisted with and advised on a number of fundraising applications.
Nath is a solicitor at Wesley Gryk Solicitors. Her practice covers a wide range of immigration, asylum and nationality law, with particular emphasis on applications based on partnership, family and private life; asylum on the basis of sexual identity; and the rights of Europeans and their family members. She is a co-convenor of the ILPA Well-Being Working Group. Nath also volunteers for Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre and UKLGIG; writes regularly for Free Movement; and is a JCWI trustee.
Irene is an accredited Level 2 Caseworker with the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme and a qualified Greek lawyer. She works in the immigration department of Irvine Thanvi Natas Solicitors as a Senior Immigration Caseworker.
Irene has experience in the fields of immigration, asylum, EU, nationality and public law. She regularly assists individuals with the submission of complex human rights applications and the preparation of deportation appeals. Part of her job at ITN Solicitors is to attend legal surgeries and provide pro bono immigration advice to individuals in a variety of legal matters. Irene is keen on assisting vulnerable clients that require advice and representation in respect of their immigration matters.

Russell is a Solicitor at Fragomen LLP in London. He provides advice and support on a broad range of matters under the UK Immigration Rules and European Law. This includes a special focus on the Points Based System, settlement, British citizenship and the new EU Settlement scheme. Russell has worked to safeguard the rights
and privileges of European nationals and their families in the UK through support under the new Settled Status scheme as a volunteer caseworker on a pro bono basis.
Nichola founded Carter Thomas and heads the firm’s immigration team. She qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and has spent the two decades since then helping people to resolve complex immigration and nationality law issues. You can read more about Nichola here.
Ruth, an associate at Carter Thomas, has substantial experience assisting individuals to navigate the UK’s immigration and nationality system. She is particularly experienced in preparing applications for EEA/EU nationals and their family members and British citizenship applications. Ruth became passionate about immigration whilst working with the UK’s Refugee Council in 2013 and she has also worked with NGOs offering assistance to asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable foreign workers in Hong Kong. Ruth is recognised in The Legal 500.
Zoe is an Associate in Fragomen’s London office. She supports a range of clients from the financial sector, from leading investment banks to smaller financial services companies. Zoe advises on all UK immigration matters and European Law.
Prior to joining Fragomen, Zoe worked within a large international firm in Cyprus, where she provided advice in the areas of corporate and immigration law. Here, she prepared and submitted immigration applications on clients’ behalf for Cyprus permanent residency and citizenship. While in Cyprus Zoe has raised £3,000 for charity to assist jobless families struggling due to the economic crisis.

Andrew is a solicitor at Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP where his practice covers a wide range of immigration, asylum and nationality matters. He has particular experience assisting European nationals and their family members to enforce and protect their freedom of movement rights. Andrew previously worked for a legal aid firm where he developed a successful practice assisting low-income EU nationals in complex cases, including challenges to deportation and immigration detention.
Gabriella is a solicitor and Italian qualified lawyer. She is the Director of MGBe Legal, an OISC regulated company providing advice on immigration, asylum and nationality law, particularly in relation to EEA nationals and family members, asylum and complex human rights applications and appeals. Gabriella regularly delivers training with ILPA and HJT, and publishes articles on immigration for Free Movement and Londra-Italia among other publications. Gabriella is a member of the Tribunal Procedure Committee and Chair of the Independent Cost and Funding Adjudicators at the Legal Aid Agency (Ministry of Justice). She is a volunteer lawyer for UKCEN.
Gina Savanhu is a an OISC registered immigration advisor and the founder of GDS
Immigration Law. She qualified as a solicitor in 2007. She has worked in the area of
immigration in law since 2003, and in that time she has gained significant experience in
assisting individuals (including EU citizens and their family members) with their initial
applications, and in challenging adverse decisions in the Tribunal and the higher courts.
Aisha N. Ahmed
Aisha is a Solicitor at Duncan Lewis Solicitors and advises on all aspects of UK Immigration law including under the Points Based System, international protection, human rights and nationality. Aisha also has extensive experience in complex EU law matters including deportation, derivative rights and retained rights of residence as well as applications under the new EU Settlement Scheme.
Aisha is also accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker with the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme.
Nick is an associate solicitor in the immigration team at Carter Thomas. His passion for this field of law began in 2014 whilst working with ASSIST, a Sheffield based charity supporting destitute asylum seekers, and subsequently the South Yorkshire Refugee and Justice Group. Nick volunteers for the renowned EU Rights Clinic based in Brussels and is recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ in The Legal 500. Nick provides advice on all aspects of UK immigration and nationality law and has assisted many EU/EEA nationals to secure status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
Jessica is a senior associate specialising in immigration law at Carter Thomas. She provides advice to individuals and businesses on a range of legal matters, including EU law and the EU Settlement Scheme, and has prepared hundreds of successful applications for individuals seeking to live in the UK. Jessica has been advising clients on immigration law matters since 2014. Before developing a career in immigration law, Jessica worked as a volunteer for the International Citizen Service in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Jessica is recognised in The Legal 500 as a ‘Rising Star’.
Here for Good has worked closely with the3million to spread our message of tolerance and support. With their team of 50 volunteers working on policy, legal, media, social media and grassroots organising, the3million works tirelessly to ensure the concerns of EU citizens are heard.
The AIRE Centre (Advice on Individual Rights in Europe) is a London based charity providing free legal advice on European human rights law and EU law. Their mission is promote awareness of European law and assist marginalised individuals to assert those rights.
ILPA (Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association) is a professional association the majority of whose members are barristers, solicitors and advocates practising in all aspects of immigration, asylum and nationality law.
UKCEN (UK Citizenship for European Nationals) was founded to help EU citizens settle in the UK. They do this by facilitating the acquisition of residence documentation and UK citizenship for nationals from EEA countries and their family members.
JCWI (Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants) is an independent national charity which exists to campaign for justice in immigration, nationality and refugee law and policy. JCWI does this by challenging laws, supporting partners and influencing public debate.
